You’re sure to stumble upon the perfect treasure for your home.
2. Towpath Exploring – Lambertville boasts some of the most picturesque miles along the historic towpath that hugs the Delaware Canal and stretches from Trenton to New Brunswick. It’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature as you stroll or roll along the flat trail. Don’t have your own bike? You can rent one just off the towpath at Pure Energy Cycling.
3. Gallery Gallivanting – For such a small city, Lambertville has far more than its fair share of vibrant art galleries capturing every style and aesthetic. Be sure to check out Jim’s of Lambertville (open by appointment only), Highlands Art Gallery, A Mano Galleries at the 5 & 10, Artists’ Gallery, Haas Gallery, Michael Fratrich’s Ten One Gallery and Robin’s Egg Gallery.
4. Delaware Paddling – Remember we told you Lambertville is a riverside community? Well, that river would be the Delaware – not to mention its adjoining canal (featuring a less intense current). That’s two waterways to choose from to kayak or canoe. Equipment rentals are available just across the street at Big Bear Gear.
5. Around Town Dining – Lambertville is a foodie destination. Enjoy outdoor seating at Lambertville Station, Under The Moon Café and Lambertville House. Savor creative takes on comfort food at a trio of tempting taverns – Anton’s at The Swan, The Hawke and Bells Tavern. Or embark on a world tour without a passport at El Tule Mexican & Peruvian Restaurant, Local Greek Lambertville, Broadmoor or Tacos Cancun.
6. Effortless Instagramming – We all know the backdrop is everything in social posts, and Lambertville offers up highly grammable sites with shining river views. You’ll look and feel like you’re on top of the world at Goat Hill Overlook. And get the chance to snap yourself in two places at once when you straddle the state line on the pedestrian walkway of the New Hope-Lambertville Bridge.
7. Treat Eating – Want the inside scoop on the city’s best ice cream? We recommend Peace Pie, Owowcow, Sandy’s Scoops and Bucks on Bridge. Craving chocolates instead? Stop in the boutique La Chocolate Box for luxe sweets.

Wine Sipping – The vineyard may be located elsewhere in the Garden State, but Lambertville is home to one of the award-winning Tomasello Winery tasting rooms – advance reservations are strongly recommended. Or taste varietals from all around the globe with more than 50 boutique selections available by the glass or bottle at The Wine Cellar.
9. Indie Film Watching – What was once a humble mid-century grocery store is now Lambertville’s Art House Cinema. Catch independent and documentary movies at ACME Screening Room – and don’t forget to bring cash for the concession stand. Prefer the stage to the screen? Catch a live Mainstage or Young Audience performance at Music Mountain Theatre.
10. History Making – Dig into Hunterdon County’s agricultural heritage at Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead Museum – open for special events and by appointment. And, if it pans out, see the childhood home of California’s gold discoverer – on the National and New Jersey Registers of Historic Places, the circa-1816 Federal-style James Wilson Marshall House (open Saturday and Sunday afternoons 1 – 4 pm and by appointment) still gleams with many of its original architectural features.
