Beach Season in New Jersey
In Atlantic City, boardwalk staple Steel Pier opened its usual Easter weekend and introduced a swinging carousel, a swaying pirate ship and three other new rides for this summer. Nearby sandwich favorite the White House Sub Shop has been serving up its famous hot and cold subs in both its original Arctic Avenue location and its new post in the Trump Taj Mahal. And Boardwalk Hall entertainment center will present a slew of big-name performers throughout the summer.
The Historical Society-run Roundhouse Museum recently received several new items which are now on display, including a cannonball made locally during the Revolution.
Open and ready for visitors, the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in Oceanville has restored all of its summer areas.
The Noyes Art Museum celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and is presenting four special exhibitions through September.
Nearby eatery Shea's Café is also ready for the season, and has added new seashore and bruschetta omelets to its already enticing menu.
