The New Jersey theatre scene offers some of the best artistic performances in the country, so mark your calendars now for some of the spectacular seasonal events throughout the state.

The Nutcracker is a winter classic and can be seen at various venues throughout the state. Experience Tchaikovsky’s Christmas tale that transports audiences into a journey of awe and wonder the whole family can enjoy. The Atlantic City Ballet will be showcasing their production of The Nutcracker at various locations December 11 – 22, 2015.

The annual tradition returns to The New Jersey Ballet, who will be hosting The Nutcracker at the Mayo Center for Performing Arts in Morristown from December 11 – 26, 2015. The American Repertory Ballet offers performances of the holiday classic at State Theatre in New Brunswick from December 18 – 20, 2015.

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark offers a variety of holiday events this upcoming season, including Christmas in the City on December 18, 2015, Kwanzaa Festival on December 19, 2015 and Handel's Messiah performed with New Jersey Symphony Chamber Orchestra on December 20, 2015.

Other must-see holiday art productions include the family-friendly A Holiday Musical Show! Holly and Ivy from December 4 – 20, 2015 and Magic in Toyland from December 26 – 29, 2015, both at the Broadway Theatre of PitmanCape May Stage presents its own family-friendly holiday production in A Cape May Christmas, on stage from November 27, 2015 – January 2, 2016.
