Long Beach Island, the All Seasons Region

The Long Beach Island regions attracts visitors year-round, thanks to its miles of sand beaches, outdoor activities, specialty stores and renowned restaurants.

There are many reasons that bring visitors to our region for the first time and even more that keeps them coming back time and time again.



For starters, there are 18 miles of pristine white sand beaches that border the Atlantic Ocean and to the west is Barnegat Bay that offers inland waterway recreation. On both sides of the island there is ample opportunities for ocean surfing, sailing, fishing, boating or just relaxing on the sand and soaking up the sunshine. Beyond the beaches, the Long Beach Island Region has tranquil settings, which include the 1.1 million Pinelands National Reserve, which offers hiking, fishing, trails, camping and more. There's also fragrant gardens and quaint towns throughout the region.



There's always a variety of things to do such as water sports, sports fishing, touring historic landmarks like the Barnegat Lighthouse in Barnegat Light. Take in a live show or musical performance at venues like the Surflight Theater or other concerts and live entertainment that's available all over the island.



And there's no end to the delicious dining and specialty shopping at locations like Bay Village Schooner's Wharf. There's no lack of other attractions like Fantasy Island Amusement Park, Thundering Surf Water Park or Mr. Tees Putt 'n Play miniature golf and arcade. Or join a pirate crew on a Black Pearl Pirate Excursion where the kids get to dress like little pirate on these family-fun cruises.



Off the island there are many other attractions like Tuckerton Seaport with its maritime museum and recreated lighthouse. Recently added to the seaport is the New Jersey Surf Museum. It offers visitors a glimpse into the unique bond between surfing and New Jersey.
