Full line and service surf shop. The Brighton Beach Surf Shop origin goes all the way back to the 1940s.
It began with founder Richard Lisiewski who read a popular mechanics magazine with an article on how to build a surfboard. With a little help young Richard built his first surfboard.
Its maiden voyage was in Seaside NJ. The board worked great. It was everything Richard wanted it to be. Unfortunately on the excited drive home the board blew off the roof and was run over by a large truck. This sparked the beginning of Brighton Beach Surf Shop.
