With white sandy beaches and small resort towns Long Beach Island is a popular summer destination.
It’s easy to find Barnegat Lighthouse State Park – just look for the 172-foot-tall red and white lighthouse at the north tip of the island. Built in 1859, the lighthouse offers amazing views from the top – your reward after climbing the 217 steps.
