There’s tons of things to do for kids, couples, families, seniors in the most scenic parts of New Jersey!
The Highlands Region covers much of Northern New Jersey and includes portions of Sussex, Passaic, Bergen, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon and Somerset counties.
The area stretches from Phillipsburg, Warren County in the southwest to Mahwah, Bergen County in the northeast.
This lush region is rich in scenic beauty – geological rock formations, rolling hills and farmland, lakes, rivers and streams and plenty of wildlife habitats.
Choose from thousands of miles of trails, hundreds of bird species, dozens of rivers, lakes and streams, two national parks, one breathtaking region all within a tank of gas from New York, Philadelphia and New England.
The Highland’s Region is also noted for its wineries that produce award-winnings wines. When in the Highlands Region be sure to visit one of the area’s five wineries that are located on some of the most beautiful land that New Jersey has to offer.
See wineries list below. In addition to its wineries, the Highland’s Region also features a number of pick-your-own farms and farmers markets.
