Farms And Orchards
The Garden State is well known for its fertile soil and its ability to produce some of the finest fruits and vegetables in the country.
And with community farmers’ markets found in every corner of the state, it is now more convenient than ever to taste “New Jersey Fresh” for yourself.
From the famous “Jersey tomato” to the state’s copious and delicious corn, blueberry and cranberry harvests, you can discover a wide variety of just-off-the-farm fruit and produce when you visit our state.
With our pick-your-own farms and hayrides (which children love!), farmers’ markets, agricultural fairs, farm festivals and winery tours, New Jersey offers affordable, family-oriented fun and educational opportunities to learn about the production of food and to encourage the preservation of agricultural lands.
There are also historical attractions where visitors can learn about New Jersey’s agricultural heritage from the beginning.
You don’t have to live on a farm to enjoy New Jersey agriculture! Come out for the day for a hayride or a horseback ride or just spend a sunny afternoon picking a basketful of sweet, scrumptious blueberries.
There's always plenty to do (and taste) in New Jersey!
