Home to the NBA's New Jersey Nets, major concerts and hundreds of different family events.
Countless legendary moments in sports and entertainment history have taken place at the IZOD Center. Today, the IZOD Center remains one of New Jersey’s leading concert and family show venues.
The IZOD Center is part of the Meadowlands Sports and Entertainment Complex that includes the new Meadowlands Stadium, home of the New York Giants and Jets along with the Meadowlands Racetrack that features thoroughbred and harness racing.
Opening in July 1981, the center hosted six sold-out shows by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, the top selling act of all time at the Meadowlands having entertained more than two million fans at 61 concerts (37 at IZOD Center, 24 at Giants Stadium).
The center is the home of great artists. American Idol has searched for rising stars during auditions in 2006, 2008 and 2010. It’s also hosted Z100’s Zootopia in 2005, 2008, and 2009.
Some artists that have performed at the Arena include Billy Joel, Elton John, Madonna, U2, Celine Dion, Eric Clapton, Bon Jovi, Britney Spears, Eminem, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Enrique Iglesias and Aventura.
In addition Janet Jackson, The Who, AC/DC, Dave Matthews Band and the Jonas Brothers have performed at the center making it one of the top concert venues in the country.
Beyond sporting events, the center hosts corporate events and family shows including Disney on Ice, Disney Live, Harlem Globetrotters, the Wiggles, Sesame Street Live, Monster Jam and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, we make sure kids of all ages stay on the edge of their seats.
More than 58 million people have attended more than 5,000 events at the IZOD Center since it opened in 1981.
