Description
During the American Revolutionary War, Gen. George Washington used the area north of Bound Brook as the site for two encampments during the winters of 1777 and 1778-79.
Middlebrook is also famous as it was the first site where the original 13-star flag was officially flown after is adoption by Congress in 1777.
