Millville

In Millville, you’ll find artists of all types being creative in renovated 19th and 20th-century buildings. The waterfront on the Maurice River was historically a center for glass production. Today, the Glasstown Arts District is filled with galleries and shops. Wheaton Arts Village is a center for traditional hand-crafted arts including glass and folk art.
 
At Wheaton Village (1502 Glasstown Rd.), the Museum of American Glass is dedicated to preserving the history of American glass making. It contains more than 13,000 glass works dating from 1739. For more active displays, be sure to spend time at the Glass Studio in the T.C. Wheaton Glass Factory. At the Craft Studio, located in the Village, woodcarvers, tinsmiths and ceramicists demonstrate their traditional skills.
 
The Glasstown Arts District is a center for arts and artists that features 18 galleries and 40 boutiques and antiques stores, all within strolling distance of each other. The Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts has exhibits from local artists. Plan to visit the third Friday of the month, when galleries are open late and a festive atmosphere fills the streets.
 
Beyond the glass arts, there's the Millville Army Air Field Museum, which preserves the airfield's history as “America's First Defense Airport” and the site where more than 10,000 service personnel along with 1,500 pilots received advanced fighter training during World War II.
 
And Millville's newest attraction is the New Jersey Motorsports Park (Thunderbolt Raceway). Located next to the Millville Municipal Airport, the raceway features two separate world-class road courses, a first class karting circuit, ATV and Tri Oval courses plus vast amenities including a clubhouse.
