One of New Jersey's oldest and most active arts and cultural institutions, the Morris Museum is an award-winning, family-oriented institution offering programs in the arts, science, history and theater.
The museum includes the Georgian-style Frelinghuysen mansion designed by Stanford White and galleries for permanent and changing exhibitions which explore the arts, sciences and humanities.
The museum is home to the permanent exhibition Musical Machines & Living Dolls: Mechanical Musical Instruments and Automata from the Murtogh D. Guinness Collection.
The only collection of its kind in the Western Hemisphere, the exhibition includes more than 750 pieces of stunning craftsmanship and hands-on experiences for visitors of all ages. Live demos of collection pieces take place daily, Wed. - Sun. at 2 p.m.
