Event Description

To mark the 240th Anniversary of the "times that try men's souls" the Bergen County Historical Society, along with Outwater's Militia and the Fourth Battalion, New Jersey Volunteers, invite you to join us for a weekend of living history and scholarly presentations. In addition to all of the buildings at Historic New Bridge Landing, reenactors from both Crown and Continental forces will be on hand to give the public a taste of what a soldier's life was like in the 18th Century. The weekend will be capped off by a reenactment of Washington's retreat over the "new bridge."

Admission is $10 for Adults, and $7 for students (6-21 yrs). BCHS members are free. Check the website for more details on the event. Free parking is available or take the train on the Pascack Valley line to "New Bridge Landing" train stop. Walk one block north to Historic New Bridge Landing, 1201 Main St, River Edge, NJ.
