Event Description

Join us at Historic New Bridge Landing to enjoy a Fall day in the 18th Century! All the historic building on site will be open for tours, including the Steuben House, Demarest House, Campbell-Christie Tavern, and Barn. Visit the 18th Century Dutch Out Kitchen for an open hearth cooking demonstration, highlighting recipes using seasonal ingredients native to Bergen County. Historian Kevin Wright will be giving an illustrated talk on the Lutheran Church site at New Bridge, and the French Burial Ground in New Milford.

Admission: $10 adults, $7 students, BCHS members free. (Become a member and support our efforts, $20 individual / $30 household).

All 3 sandstone houses, including the Steuben House, a state historic site, are connected by an ADA compliant gravel walking path. Free parking is available or take a train on the Pascack Valley Line from Secaucus via NJ Transit to the "New Bridge Landing" train stop. Walk one block north & east. By car, HNBL is only 7 miles from the GWB.
