East Jersey Olde Towne Village is a collection of original, replicated and reconstructed 18th and 19th century structures. On a visit to East Jersey Olde Towne Village, guests can view New Brunswick Barracks, Runyon House, Williamson Wheelwright Shop, Fitzrandolph House and Smalleytown Schoolhouse.
These facilities are a few of the buildings here that teach visitors about the vernacular architecture typical of farm and merchant communities, once found in central New Jersey. The Village provides activities including exhibitions, displays, demonstrations, hands-on workshops, storytelling, lectures, tours, library research and school programs to teach the history and tradition of the region.
All are presented free of charge to the public. Call or check online for more information. Hours of operation are: office hours are Mon. - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:15 pm, public hours are Tue. - Fri., 8:30 am - 4:15 pm; Sun. 1 pm - 4 pm. Closed Mon., Sat. and Holidays. Daily tour at 1:30 pm. Group and School tours by appointment.
