Overview

The The United Astronomy Clubs of New Jersey provides free public astronomy viewing events every year from April through October on Saturday evenings.

An astronomy presentation begins at 8 pm in the lecture hall regardless of the weather and is followed by stargazing on the observatory's seven on site telescopes until 10:30 pm, weather permitting.

All programs are held at the UACNJ Observatory in Jenny Jump State Forest.

Groups are always welcome at our Saturday night programs; please contact us in advance if you wish to bring a group of more than 10 people.

We suggest a donation of $50 or $2 per person for groups on Saturday nights during the public season.

Special Programs on other nights can be arranged with two (2) week advance notice.

Please email for details. For these special programs, which require additional staffing and extra use of our facilities, a donation of at least $3 per person is suggested, with a minimum of $75 for a group. We have 2,500+ visitor per year.
