In addition to displays on such significant historical events as Pearl Harbor, the Battle for Iwo Jima and the Battle of the Bulge, the museum also exhibits specific events experienced by individual veterans.
These veteran memorials acknowledge the contributions of the veterans by incorporating a diorama that visually depicts the event. Written accounts of the veteran's story, personal memorabilia such as pictures and artifacts and DVDs of the veteran's interviews accompany these memorials.
Military artworks provide a natural background that relates the general story of World War II in both the Pacific and European battlefronts. The museum's collection includes approximately 80 model Navy ships and submarines representing the United States, Germany, Japan, England and France.
On display are 200 airplanes including bombers and fighters from all the warring nations of World War II as well as expertly detailed die-cast models of American, German and Russian tanks and vehicles. Gift shop.
