SICA: The Shore Institute of The Contemporary Arts

The primary goal of this contemporary art center is to increase public accessibility, awareness, appreciation and knowledge of the contemporary arts.

This is being accomplished by a series of classes, seminars, exhibitions, lectures and demonstrations, which will respond to the cultural interests and diversities of its audience.

Artists who produce new and significant works of art and are known for their innovative work and ideas will be selected as exhibitors, lecturers and demonstrators.

Since these exhibitions and presentations will be open to the public, they will provide an essential tool for the advancement of visual arts in central New Jersey , as well as helping to augment the experience of students participating in the educational activities.
