Asbury Park is a great place to shop, dine, go to the theatre, stroll the boardwalk or enjoy the beach and surf. The city has a wonderful downtown mixed with Zagat-rated restaurants and clubs with a mix of art galleries, antique and retail shops. On the first Saturday of each month, they celebrate "First Saturday Asbury Park" and the restaurants and shops are open late for visitors to come and enjoy.

The boardwalk has a mix of fine restaurants where you can sample a wide variety of cuisine, including Korean fusion tacos, oysters, sausages, ice cream and Italian ice. It also boasts a surf and swimwear shop, handcrafted and organic goods, vintage-inspired gifts. There's the Silver Ball Museum Arcade where you can play classic antique pinball games Asbury Eighteen where you can beat your buddies at a game of oceanfront mini-golf and Asbury Splash Park, where the kids can soak themselves under the famous tipping teacup for hours! Just beyond the boardwalk, the beach is as vibrant as the rest of the town. Visitors can enjoy the sun and surf on the clean and lifeguard protected beach with summertime fireworks.

Asbury Park events are non-stop throughout the year. They host a Jazz Festival and Oyster Festival every summer. And don't forget to check the schedule for the Paramount Theatre.

Asbury Park is accessible by New Jersey TRANSIT and Academy buses and by the North Jersey Coast Line train.
