Entertainment Under the Stars

PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel (formerly the Garden State Arts Center) is a premier outdoor concert venue that each year draws thousands to see world-class entertainers and concert groups. Performances and shows run from May through September and the center also hosts numerous special events and festivals. The center opened in 1968 on a portion of the 400-acre Telegraph Hill Nature Area. Its construction was part of the New Jersey Highway Authority's plan to develop roadside recreational facilities along the Garden State Parkway. The center has 6,900 seats - with lawn seating for an additional 10,600 - and features state-of-the-art sound and video screens.

At the Camden Waterfront is the BB&T Pavilion, a year-round facility that serves as a 25,000 capacity outdoor amphitheater during the summer months. The center features a lawn with video screens, computerized sound enhancement and a clear view of the Philadelphia skyline, Delaware River and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge to the northwest. In the fall and winter months, the center converts to a fully enclosed, climate-controlled, flexible-capacity theater for up to 7,000 people offering a variety of concerts, Broadway theatrical productions and family entertainment.
