  1. Skylands Stadium Jack O-Lantern Experience, Sussex County, September 22 – November 5
    Ever been surrounded by over 6,000 hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns? You can now! Experience Skylands Stadium’s 45-minute Halloween walk, roast S’mores on the fire pit, sip apple cider, paint pumpkins and ride the Ferris wheel. Cheers to 30+ craft beers too!   2. Happy Day Farm Fall Festival, Manalapan – Select dates September 10 - October 30
    Over 35 activities are cropping up at this fun-on-the-farm adventure. From feeding the animals and taking insta-worthy pics in Pumpkinville to exploring the corn maze and watching pig races.   3. Holland Ridge Farms Fall Flower Festival, Cream Ridge – September 15 – October 15
    Sunflowers as far as the eye can see – and only $1 a stem to pick your own! Gladiolas, calla lilies and dazzling dahlias too. And there’s a bunch more to enjoy, like up to 30 food trucks, 25+ floral photo op activations, 100+ artisanal vendors, live music and oh so many family fun activities. Tickets & info.
     
  4. Moreys Piers Octoberfest, Wildwood – Weekends September 15 – October 8
    Ok, if you haven’t met Oktober the Oktopus, it’s high time you did! This food, fun and biergarten extravaganza in Jersey’s wildly popular shore town includes activities for all ages, rides, Bier on the Pier, traditional German merriment, pretzels and, yes, bratwurst.   5. Six Flags Kids Boo Fest, Jackson Select Days – September 16 – October 29
    It’s boos by day and frights by night at Six Flags Great Adventure. This festival gives little goblins and their families a chance to ride coasters, get some goodies along the Trick-or-Treat Trail, enjoy a hay maze and a Not-So-Scary Storytime. Get more info.
     
  6. Great Pumpkin Festival, Heaven Hill Farm, Vernon – September 16 – November 5
    With tractor hayrides, a 40-year anniversary-themed corn maze, barnyard sports, farm animals, pig races, wine tastings, carnival rides, face painting and fall treats like candy apples and apple cider donuts, it’s one wow after another.   7. Von Thun’s Country Farm Market Fall Festival, Monmouth Junction – Weekends September 16 – October 29
    Looking for a fall festival your family will realllllly enjoy? You found it! Wake up your weekends with 20+ awesome activities and attractions including a corn maze, pedal carts, pumpkin bowling, giant pumpkin tic-tac-toe, barnyard baseball, hayrides and access to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch.   8. The Autumn Lights Festival, West Milford – October 7
    What started 27 years ago as a way to celebrate West Milford getting its first traffic light is now one of North Jersey’s largest and most dynamic street fairs.   9. Festival of Fine Craft, Wheaton Arts, Millville – October 7 & 8
    The 24th Annual Festival of Fine Craft is marked by two days of artistic wonders and shopping. 150+ juried artists and craftspeople will be displaying and selling their works.
