Atlantic City Boardwalk

Atlantic City Boardwalk

It's the world's first and longest Boardwalk. Songs have been sung about it. Books have been written about it. Movies and TV shows have been filmed on it. It's the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk, and odds are, if you're visiting Atlantic City, you'll spend some time on the great wooded way. Whether you're taking a leisurely stroll or just using it to get from your favorite restaurant to your favorite casino, there is nothing quite like the Atlantic City Boardwalk.

Let’s Roll
Many people in Atlantic City hit the Boardwalk all year round with a morning ride. Between 6 am and 10 am, the boards are open to bike riders. You can even rent a bike on the Boardwalk at both Iowa and North Carolina avenues. When the crowds start to pick up, you can even hire a Rolling Chair that will make you feel like royalty – and will get you quickly to your next destination.

Playtime
Located at Kennedy Plaza, across from Boardwalk Hall, you can enjoy the ocean breeze and work on your swing at Atlantic City Miniature Golf. At Central Pier Arcade and Speedway, you can enjoy an array of arcade games as well as go-carts and paintball. At Steel Pier, you can take the little kids on the carousel or bumper cars, let the big kids slingshot through the air at 100 mph or take the whole family for a ride on the observation wheel overlooking the city.

Entertain Us
While there are plenty of concerts to choose from, a free concert series takes place every summer at Kennedy Plaza on the Boardwalk at Mississippi Ave. There are also many year-round parades and events in Atlantic City, which help create a festive atmosphere.

On The Run
The Atlantic City Marathon has participants from across the U.S. competing to qualify for the Boston Marathon. For decades, athletes have tested their strength and stamina by participating in this 26.2-mile marathon that is known for its flat and fast course. There's also a half marathon, 10K and 5K, to accommodate all fitness levels. The marathon’s flat and fast course has competitors taking in the world-famous Boardwalk as well as the streets of Atlantic City and neighboring communities of Ventnor, Margate and Longport.
