Seaside Heights

This coastal destination packs lots of action into its 16-by-4-block beachside setting, drawing crowds with its whirl of fast-paced activity.

The boardwalk here is one of the busiest at the Shore, thanks to a lively amusement pier, a water park, wall-to-wall arcades and souvenir shops.

Fun seekers also have their pick of casual eateries. At the Seaside Park end of the boardwalk, you’ll find The Sawmill where you can dine on jumbo pizza, handhelds, shareable snacks and seafood. While full-service restaurants like Hemingway’s, Drifters and Klee’s Bar & Grill line the Boulevard.

Summertime brings free seaside entertainment, including fun festivals and weekly fireworks displays. Plan a stay at one of the town's accommodations. Of course, many popular events take place here year-round, including the rollicking St. Patrick’s Day parade and the annual Polar Bear Plunge, where intrepid swimmers dive into the icy Atlantic in winter to raise money for the Special Olympics.
