Peto Presents Series is an interesting series of lectures on art and New Jersey history. Each month the Museum hosts a speaker who offers a fascinating look at an engrossing aspect of applied art or a chapter of amazing history relevant to our community or state.

Have you ever awakened from a dream and wondered, "What the heck was that all about?" Then this Dream Workshop may be just the thing you're looking for. Join Bonney Parker, Certified Dream Work Facilitator of the Marlin Institute of Projective Dream Work, as she delves into the dream world.
May 26, 3 p.m. | Poetry at the Peto
After a splendid first gathering in the garden and many gifted poets offering to share their work, five additional readers are welcome and encouraged to submit an original poem. There will be a total of ten readers. If you are interested in reading an original poem you wrote, please submit the poem you would read to artcommittee@petomuseum.org. Submissions are due by May 1. You will be notified in writing by May 7 if you will be included in the live poetry reading. There are no rules, although there may be children in attendance.

July 11, 3 p.m. | Celebrate New Jersey – A Historical Travelogue Around the State
Save gas as you tour from the comfort of your chair. Experience the famous and not-so-famous people, places and events of our great little state. Explore the diverse geography: mountains, highlands, rivers, lakes and seashore. Visit the South, the North, the Central and little-known places in between.
August 8, 3 p.m. | New Jersey Folk Revival Music – History and Tradition
Join New Jersey author Michael Gabriele for a presentation on his book New Jersey Folk Revival Music—History & Tradition. Gabriele will discuss the evolution of folk revival music in New Jersey.
November 7, 3 p.m. | Ere the Shadows Fade – New Jersey’s Civil War Era Photographers
This presentation features several notable examples of New Jersey’s Civil War Era photographers. The Civil War boosted the photographic trade in New Jersey as both soldiers and families demanded more images of loved ones.
