Overview
The Forest Resource Education Center (FREC) Jackson Township iincludes the Interpretive Center and the New Jersey State Forest Nursery.

The FREC strives to teach and practice forest stewardship - managing New Jersey's forest resources so that we have healthy trees and forests, clean air and water and places to learn and enjoy the outdoors. Come to the FREC to be a forester for a day and a steward for life.

Fishing or hunting is available to those licensed. You may also bring a horse or a bike to ride on our sand roads. Other activities include bird watching and hiking. Visit the Interpretive Center or Nursery Office for a map of trails.
