Vietnam Veterans Memorial

Honor the memory of the men and women who gave their lives during the Vietnam War in New Jersey, home to the country's only museum devoted entirely to the Vietnam War.

New Jersey is home to the country's only museum devoted entirely to the Vietnam War. The Vietnam Era Museum & Educational Center provides a comprehensive history, from news photos and film footage to a collection of letters written to and from Garden State servicemen. Adjacent to the museum is the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial, which honors the 1,562 New Jerseyans who lost their lives in Southeast Asia during the conflict.

The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial and the Vietnam Era Museum & Educational Center are companion projects that complement one another. The memorial honors the sacrifices made by New Jersey residents who gave their lives while serving in Southeast Asia and, at the same time, pays tribute to all who have served. Its companion project, the educational center, provides a setting in which to present factual, accurate and unbiased information about the Vietnam era and the veterans who served during that time period (1959-1975). While you're here, be sure to see the new exhibit Above & Beyond: The History of the Medal of Honor (on view through November 16, 2019), which showcases the history of this prestigious award, while also including stories of notable individuals who have earned this award through their bravery.

Both the museum and memorial are located at One Memorial Lane (Garden State Pky. Exit 116) in Holmdel, close to the PNC Bank Arts Center.
